The Bachelor cost calculator with toggles and a custom expense input takes shape over roughly 60 commits. Also: About redesign, News & Events landing page, admissions contact card.

Category filters and pagination for news, a media page with thumbnails, new program seals, restructured About page.

Faculty portraits with CV links, quick-fact tiles, accreditation section. The first real content arrives through Pages CMS; the audio archive is compressed and embedded.

Pagefind search with a magnifier in the header and deep links straight to the matched spot on the page. The news page becomes a magazine front page.

Full news import from iti.ac.at (334 articles with optimized images), one shared motion language across the site, an events redesign with category colors, and the large navy announcement band on the homepage.
20 July 2026
The announcement becomes a slim CMS-managed top banner. 44 events imported from the calendar archive; an event highlight card with category logic; the month-grouped list with filters and Load More moves to the events page. Larger base type on laptops. A full-screen hero carousel with seven slides replaces the static hero. The new “7 Reasons why students choose ITI” section replaces the old editorial section. Fonts become self-hosted; the Programs heading is centered.
Three generations of the first thing a visitor sees.
Three weeks the face of the site: the ceiling fresco with a cross mark and the triad “studied, prayed, lived”.

The first carousel: seven rounded cards on a dark stage with side padding, arrows and dots below. Replaced the same day by full-screen slides.
How we study
Small seminars on the great texts of the faith, read whole and discussed in depth.
Edge-to-edge slides at full viewport height, floating hover-circle arrows, and a title slide with the university seal above the name and a two-line Psalm verse.

From a full section under the hero to a slim strip above the header, always managed via Pages CMS.

Summer Program 2026
Join us at Schloss Trumau from 29 June to 10 July 2026 for a two-week immersive summer program: seminars, liturgy, and community life near Vienna. Applications are now open.
A slim strip above the header: info icon, one sentence, one link. Text, link, and color (navy, gold, or cream) come from Pages CMS; the header slides up as it scrolls away.
The story section went through four generations in one day after living for two weeks.
Five numbered chapters with image galleries (one image shown here per chapter) and the closing “Ordered to Mission” panel. The full original copy is preserved below.

Founded by Pope St John Paul II, ITI stands within the living tradition of the Catholic Church, faithful in doctrine and open to the full breadth of East and West. Its life and study are shaped by the Church’s worship, teaching, and intellectual inheritance.

Students do not only read about theology. They encounter Scripture, the Fathers, the Doctors of the Church, and St Thomas directly, then bring what they have read into serious seminar conversation. Learning becomes active, personal, and demanding.
How we study03
Roman Holy Mass, Byzantine Catholic Divine Liturgy, sacramental life, and daily prayer are not additions to study. They form the rhythm of the day and teach students to receive theology as something prayed, not only discussed.

ITI is residential, international, and personal. Formation continues around tables, in friendship, family life, shared work, and ordinary campus days. Students are known by name and learn within a community that carries the life of faith together.

In the heart of Europe, ITI offers an English-speaking Catholic education shaped by Austria’s beauty, tradition, and closeness to Rome. For many international students, it is a more affordable way to study, pray, and live in a truly Catholic and international community.

Everything studied, prayed, and shared at ITI is ordered toward mission: vocation, marriage, family, service, and the work each student is called to carry into the Church and the world.
First rebuild as “6 Reasons why students choose ITI”: bands alternating between a soft gold tint and white, images alternating left and right, a large free-standing number above each heading, and small-caps text links.

How we studyThe final form: seven reasons (the sources and the seminar method became separate points), all bands white, text left and framed image right, the gold number inline with a headline that carries the whole argument, and a subtle outline button as the link. The JP2 watercolor was replaced with the photograph.
ITI is not a private project. Founded by Pope St John Paul II, it stands in the heart of the Catholic Church and unites the traditions of East and West: one faith, breathing with both lungs.

The homepage news panel is the most-iterated element of the whole site: five distinct generations.
The very first form: plain headlines separated by hairlines, no images.
Small square thumbnails in grayscale that gained color on hover, next to title and date.
The news-page feature cards brought to the homepage: white-matte framed image on top, title and meta below, in a two-column grid.

The current form: a 2×2 card grid was briefly tried, then settled as two large cards with a row of three smaller ones below.
Four generations on the homepage; the most elaborate one now lives on the events page.
The first “featured event”: a navy gradient card with gold edge and category badge, fed by a new CMS switch, above the familiar agenda rows. Academic entries (defenses, term dates) started being filtered off the homepage here.
The calendar-style list: category filter chips, month separators, day number with weekday, category dots in the section colors, arrows appearing on hover, and a Load More button. Considered too much for the homepage and moved wholesale to the events page, where it is live today.

The homepage returned to a compact agenda, now with pill-shaped date markers, stacked with the news in full-width bands.
The events subpage had its own big-row style before adopting the month-grouped list.
Large rows with a big date, category tag and title tinted in the category color, description line, and numbered pagination below.
The design first built for the homepage (exhibit 5, v3): highlight card, filters, month bands, day rows, and Load More instead of page numbers. Shown above; identical on the events page, plus the Academic category.
Every interactive style that existed on the site, which are in use, and which retired.
One of the most consequential changes is invisible as a layout: the base font size.
